VIA aquaculture is a newly established shrimp smart farm that produces high quality shrimp in tanks using high tech BIOFLOC system that is sustainable and environmental friendly. Our main commodity is shrimp (Penaus vannamei) where larvae are cultured locally and grown in tanks. Shrimps are then sold in high end markets like resorts and Fiji airways. We also sell high quality post larvae to the government, commercial farms and individual farmers to be grown in their ponds. As part of our services we do provide consultation on a wide range of services from farm setup to sales and marketing.

Market Position
Fiji’s shrimp industry has many loopholes and VIA aquaculture was built to address these issues. Boasting a combined 10 years of experience in the Aquaculture specifically the shrimp sector. We have mastered the craft of breeding shrimp and prawns. While Fiji faces an inconsistent supply of post larvae we have proven over the past while working for the private sector and other organization that it is doable. When there is a delay in the supply of larvae to the farmers the production suffers a setback and affects the whole chain. VIA aquaculture will solve this kind of situations because it will produce its own PL’s and prioritize the stocking of its pond. This will boost our cycle turnaround to 3- 4 cycles per year.
